The Project Engineer supports the design, evaluation, development, reporting, and application of engineering systems and products. Additionally, this role will support the program in determining the scope and parameters for project design and implementation while adhering to our robust quality standards. The Project Engineer key responsibilities are the following:

  • Communicates, consults with, and participates in design and manufacturing support.

  • Works directly with the customer technical team to determine detailed requirements and deliverables.

  • Lead and drive the involvement of multidisciplinary stakeholders to find solutions to technical roadblocks, risks, and challenges.

  • Assists Projects in plan execution, including the development of Work Orders, material procurement and organization, preparation of schedules and budgets, and various other project activities.

  • Interacts frequently with field staff to ensure project progression; will have a daily presence on the project site.

  • Participate in project development of manufacturing plans, schedules, and quality plans.

  • Review purchase orders, contracts, and change requests and ensure that the required criteria and provisions are met.

  • Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports.

  • Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.

  • Year-round on-site position in Alaska working 60 hours per week.

  • Some additional travel is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work well in evolving environments and support the team in creating and facilitating evolution.

  • Ability to take direction from the Quality Assurance team.

  • Knowledge of AWS, ISO9001:2015, AS9100 preferred.

  • Exceptional Time Management.

  • General computer proficiency such as navigating file folders or creating/copying links.

  • Strong working knowledge and experience with CAD, i.e Autocad, Solidworks, Creo.

  • Strong collaboration skills.

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or a related field is required.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 Years of industry experience.

  • Well-versed in manufacturing and fabrication.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Shift and Benefits

Shift/Hours: Monday – Saturday 7:30-5:30 (10 hours)

Hiring Range:

$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Actual base compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle point of the hiring range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
